Clough Harris undertake the restoration of most types of furniture. Generally speaking the same techniques are used as in interior decoration ie. Water-gilding, French-polishing and occasionally artwork. Our french-polishers work to traditional formulae using natural shellac polish and wax finishes. Clough Harris are often asked to produce a copy of an existing piece of furniture to create 'a pair'. These reproductions are replicated in precise detail and can range from a Giltwood Console Table or Chippendale Dining Chair to Wall Sconces and water-gilt Mirrors. An upholstery service can also be provided to the same meticulous standards.
